I am working with a team at the moment where the members were recently discussing why certain problems had occurred in their project and why they were not achieving everything that they want to. The reason, they concluded, is that they are far too polite with one another. All of their decisions are made by consensus, which often means that decisions are not made at all because they can't all agree, and they don't want to have conflict. The conclusion of their discussion was that they need to fight a bit more to achieve higher performance!</description>
